Is it permissible to employ an orphan for domestic work in exchange for wages, knowing that the employer would not accept such work for their own children?

There is no harm in employing an orphan in household chores or other tasks, provided that it does not cause him any harm and his rights are fully fulfilled. Islamic law encourages kindness and compassion towards orphans due to the great reward associated with it, and it warns against harming them or consuming their wealth, as severe punishment awaits those who do so.
