What is the ruling of the Sharia on piercing a man's ear and wearing an earring for adornment, knowing that there is no explicit textual evidence (nass shar'i) prohibiting or permitting it, and given that some jurists (fuqaha') have disliked piercing the ear of a male child but not a female child?

"Piercing a female's ear for jewelry and adornment is permissible according to the majority of scholars. As for piercing the ear of an adult male and wearing an earring, it is forbidden due to the imitation of women, the perpetrator of which is cursed in the authentic Hadith. The Hanbalis consider it reprehensible to pierce the ear of a male child. An adult male must cease this action and repent to Allah."
