Is it permissible for a man to marry the daughter of his divorced wife from another man?

If a man marries a woman and consummates the marriage with her, then it is forbidden for him to marry her daughters, for they are his stepdaughters (rabāʾib). However, if he contracts marriage with her but does not consummate it, and then divorces her, then it is permissible for him to marry her daughters, due to Allah's saying: "And your stepdaughters who are under your guardianship [born] of your wives with whom you have consummated marriage. But if you have not consummated marriage with them, then there is no blame upon you."
