How many Rak'ahs are there in Salatul Duha, and is it permissible to perform it at separate times, such as two Rak'ahs for Ishraq and two Rak'ahs a quarter of an hour before Dhuhr?

The minimum number of Rak'ahs for Duha prayer is two, and the maximum is eight. It is recommended to say the Taslim after every two Rak'ahs. Its time begins when the sun has risen to the height of a spear and extends until just before the zenith (Zawal). Supererogatory prayers are preferably performed two Rak'ahs at a time. Absolute supererogatory prayers should not be performed during the prohibited times (after Fajr until sunrise, after Asr until sunset, and at the zenith). Continuity between its Rak'ahs is not a condition, so it is permissible to perform them separately as long as they are within its time.
