What is the authenticity of the Friday Sevenfold Recitation Hadith, which states: "Whoever recites on Friday Surat Al-Fatihah, 'Qul Huwa Allahu Ahad,' 'Qul A'udhu bi Rabb Al-Falaq,' and 'Qul A'udhu bi Rabb An-Nas' seven times, will be protected until the next Friday"? And is it permissible to act upon it in regard to virtuous deeds?

Al-Bayhaqi and Ibn Abi Shaybah narrated from Asma bint Abi Bakr, may Allah be pleased with her, that whoever recites Al-Fatiha, Al-Mu'awwidhatayn (the two surahs of seeking refuge), and Surah Al-Ikhlas after Jumu'ah (Friday prayer) will be protected until the next Jumu'ah. Some narrations mention reciting them seven times.

Al-Albani deemed weak the report narrated from Aisha, may Allah be pleased with her, and found in "Amal Al-Yawm wal-Laylah" by Ibn Al-Sunni, with the wording: "Whoever recites after the Jumu'ah prayer: 'Qul Huwa Allahu Ahad' (Surah Al-Ikhlas), and 'Qul A'udhu bi Rabbil Falaq' (Surah Al-Falaq), and 'Qul A'udhu bi Rabbin Nas' (Surah An-Nas) seven times, Allah Almighty will protect him from evil until the next Jumu'ah."

The summary is that the strongest narration regarding reciting Al-Fatiha and Al-Mu'awwidhatayn seven times after Jumu'ah is the report from Asma bint Abi Bakr, may Allah be pleased with her, but its chain of narration is disconnected, and there is irregularity in its text. As for reciting Surah Al-Ikhlas and the two Mu'awwidhatayn once, there is evidence indicating its permissibility after every prayer.
