How can one reconcile the noble verse: {Those who consume interest do not rise except as one whom Satan has smitten with madness arises}, and the noble Hadith: "Indeed, Satan flows through the son of Adam like blood"?

There is no contradiction between "touching" (al-mass) in the Quranic verse and the Hadith. The words "al-mass" and "al-lams" (touching/contact) are used in the Quran to mean sexual intercourse, not merely external physical contact. "Al-mass" has also been used to mean insanity, because Satan may touch a person, causing him to become insane. Some scholars are of the view that the Hadith is metaphorical, referring to obsessive whispers (waswasah), but the first interpretation is the most correct.
