Which is a greater sin: a smoker who claims to have weak willpower, or someone who watches pornography alone?

A Muslim can remain steadfast in good deeds and avoid evil through their strong resolve and adherence to their religion. Strength in religion means the soul's determination in matters of the Hereafter and eagerness for obedience. It is not permissible to justify sins by claiming a weak will. A Muslim must enter fully into Islam and not follow the footsteps of Satan, and their desires should be subservient to the religion. Both smoking and watching obscene films are forbidden; however, the sin of watching obscene films is more severe and repugnant. Its corruption directly affects the heart, and it is considered a major sin, whereas smoking is a minor sin that can become a major one through persistence.
