The answer

Firstly: Beating and insulting one's wife without justification is a forbidden injustice that must be abandoned and repented from. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "O Allah, I declare inviolable the rights of the two weak ones: the orphan and the woman."

Secondly: It is not permissible for the husband to access his wife's Facebook account and view her messages without her knowledge. This is a forbidden act of espionage, unless it is to prevent an evil when there is a clear suspicion.

Thirdly: You should have concealed your wife's faults and not exposed her, for concealment is obligatory upon a Muslim regarding himself and others.

Fourthly: As long as your wife is upright and no suspicion arises from her, you should have a good opinion of her and not hold her accountable for what has passed, for "the one who repents from sin is like one who has no sin."

Fifthly: Your wife's prevention of being alone and intermingling with your brothers, and her eagerness to veil herself from them, is a correct and Sharia-compliant action. This should be explained to your parents gently and wisely.

Sixthly: Our advice to you is to keep your wife and not divorce her. Treat her well, be kind to her, and cooperate with her in obedience to Allah. It appears from her state that she is righteous, so treat her well. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Treat women well," and he also said: "The best among you is he who is best to his family, and I am the best among you to my family."
