Is cultivating tobacco permissible if it is the sole source of income for families?

Working in the sale of tobacco and cigarettes is forbidden, and one must seek another source of livelihood. For "every flesh that grows from unlawful earnings, the Fire is more befitting of it." And whoever fears Allah, He will make for him a way out and provide for him from where he does not expect. And whoever leaves something for the sake of Allah, He will compensate him with something better. An exception to this is a state of extreme necessity, with the obligation to search for another job.
