Is it permissible to say "Subhanallah" (glorify God) while watching television?

Glorification (Tasbih) has immense virtues. Suffice it to mention in its favor the sayings of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him: "Whoever says: 'Subhanallah wa bihamdihi (Glory be to Allah and praise be to Him)' one hundred times a day, his sins will be forgiven even if they were like the foam of the sea." And his saying: "Two words that are light on the tongue, heavy on the scale, beloved to the Most Merciful: 'Subhanallah wa bihamdihi, Subhanallahil-Azim (Glory be to Allah and praise be to Him, Glory be to Allah, the Most Magnificent).'" And his saying: "To say: 'Subhanallah (Glory be to Allah), wal-hamdulillah (and praise be to Allah), wa la ilaha illallah (and there is no god but Allah), wallahu Akbar (and Allah is the Greatest)' is more beloved to me than everything upon which the sun has risen." And his saying: "Whoever says: 'Subhanallahil-Azim wa bihamdihi (Glory be to Allah, the Most Magnificent, and praise be to Him),' a palm tree will be planted for him in Paradise."

Glorification while watching television is permissible if the content displayed warrants it, such as watching the calamities befalling Muslims or the grandeur of Allah's creation. However, if one is watching forbidden things, such as women displaying themselves unveiled or female singers, then glorification should not be uttered at that time. Instead, it is obligatory to avoid such viewing.
