Is it obligatory to change the name "Diana," which may not conform to Islamic guidelines, and will one be held accountable for not changing it before death, taking into consideration the difficulty resulting from people being accustomed to it?

One should not name with foreign names that carry a meaning unsuitable for Islam, especially if they refer to deities of the polytheists. Therefore, we advise changing this name and replacing it with a beautiful Arabic name, preferably a name of a female companion (Sahabiyah) or a virtuous woman mentioned in the Qur’an and Sunnah. People’s accustomedness to the new name will be easy.
