What is the implication of a Muslim feeling arrogance, self-admiration, and security from Allah's devices when performing acts of obedience, despite their shortcomings in worship, and how can one get rid of that, remedy laziness, and utilize time efficiently?

Arrogance is a disease that must be cleansed from the heart. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, defined it as "rejecting the truth and despising people," meaning pushing it away, denying it, and belittling people. As for self-admiration (ʿujb), it is magnifying a blessing and relying on it while forgetting its source. It is among the destructive sins, as the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "And three destructive things: a obeyed desire, a stinginess that is followed, and a person's self-admiration." Feeling safe from Allah's cunning is the path of the wrongdoers.
