Is it permissible for a son to contribute to the expenses of his 'Aqiqah (two sacrifices) to lighten the burden on his father, knowing that he has become capable of spending?

Scholars differ regarding whether the 'Aqiqah obligation ceases for the one addressed by it if the child reaches maturity and earns money, or if it does not cease. There is no harm in the child helping his father with the expenses of the 'Aqiqah, even if the obligation is on the father.
