Is carrying a small Qur'an in one's pocket wherever one goes, with the intention of dying while it is with them, considered a good ending?

It is permissible to carry the Qur'an in one's pocket, provided it is protected and safeguarded from disrespect. However, carrying the Qur'an with the intention that you will die while it is with you is baseless and falls under hanging the Qur'an to attract benefit or ward off harm, which is not legislated. It has not been authentically reported from the Prophet (peace be upon him) or his Companions that they carried the Qur'an for the purpose of repelling envy or bringing benefit. Had it been legislated, they would have done so and conveyed it to their Ummah.
