What is the benefit of a pilgrim in a state of ihram saying: "If I am prevented, then my place of release is where I am prevented"?

It is prescribed for one who intends to enter into ihram for Hajj or 'Umrah to stipulate a condition upon entering ihram, if they fear that an impediment might prevent them from completing it. They should say: "If an impediment prevents me, then my place of release is where You have held me back." This is based on the Prophet's (peace and blessings be upon him) statement to Duba'ah bint Az-Zubair: "Perform Hajj and stipulate a condition, saying: 'O Allah, my place of release is where You have held me back.'" The benefit of this stipulation is that if an impediment occurs, they can exit their ihram without incurring any penalty, such as a fidyah (expiation) or a hady (sacrificial animal), or shaving their head. Otherwise, they would be considered muhsar (prevented from completing the pilgrimage) and would be obligated to sacrifice an animal and shave their head.
