How can a pregnant woman who suffers from excessive salivation and vomits when swallowing it, and cannot control it except by putting food in her mouth, return to her prayers? Is it permissible for her to pray with a piece of candy in her mouth? Does excessive spitting into a bottle during prayer invalidate it?

Prayer is the pillar of faith, and abandoning it is a grave transgression. One who has abandoned it must repent and make up for the prayers they missed. If a long time has passed and making up for them is difficult, then they should strive to perform supererogatory prayers.

If a worshiper needs to spit, they should spit into their garment or a tissue, or to their left, or under their foot, or into a bottle they carry, while minimizing the movement. It is disliked to spit in front of them or to their right.

Slight movements during prayer do not invalidate it, even if they are unnecessary. There is no specific limit distinguishing between much and little movement; rather, it is determined by custom. Extensive consecutive movements invalidate the prayer unless there is a necessity.

Placing sweets or sugar in the mouth during prayer and dissolving any part of it invalidates the prayer.
