Is it permissible for a pregnant woman who cannot swallow her saliva and fears vomiting if she opens her mouth, to pray and glorify God without opening her mouth? And will her prayer be accepted if she is unable to prostrate due to GERD that causes her to vomit?

Reciting the Quran and performing remembrances (dhikr) in prayer requires moving the tongue and lips. Therefore, one who prays with sealed lips, their prayer is invalid. The proof for this is that the Companions recognized the Prophet's (peace be upon him) recitation in the silent prayer by the movement of his beard.

It is permissible for the worshiper to take out a handkerchief and spit into it when necessary, as this is a minor movement that does not invalidate the prayer.

If prostration causes vomiting, this is an excuse that waives the obligation of prostrating on the ground. In this case, the worshiper should bow (rukūʿ), then straighten up, then the female worshiper (or worshiper) should gesture for prostration, ensuring that the gesture for prostration is lower than that for bowing. It is recommended not to fill the stomach with food before prayer to avoid vomiting, and the prayer is complete as long as this is possible.
