What is the ruling on placing or writing a Qur’anic verse or a Prophetic Hadith in commercial advertisements, such as selling dates by writing a Hadith about their virtues, or selling Zamzam water by writing "Zamzam water is for that for which it is drunk"? And is this act forbidden because of using the verse or Hadith for profitable purposes?

The Quran must be glorified, exalted, and protected. This includes not using it as a means for financial gain or commercial promotion, nor employing it for purposes other than its noble objectives, such as using its verses for worldly aims, jesting, or frivolity. Indeed, such actions constitute an affront to the Book of Allah and the Sunnah of His Messenger. Both must be safeguarded from degradation and from being sought after for worldly عرض, especially if accompanied by deception or exaggeration in promotion.
