Is God punishing the girl for rejecting suitors in the past, or for punishing her mother for her arrogance, or is what is happening to her merely her destiny?

The Shari'ah has granted a girl the freedom to choose her husband and to reject a suitor for reasonable causes, such as "lack of religious commitment, bad character, poverty, physical unattractiveness, or frequent travel." The girl must be realistic in her choice, as it is not necessary for all ideal qualities to be present in one person. The most important qualities are religious commitment and good character. The scarcity of suitors may be a result of repeated rejections, and the mother's boasting about her daughter and her arrogance towards people is bad behavior. The girl must repent, be humble, realistically assess her situation, and ask Allah for a righteous husband.
