Songs accompanied by musical instruments are not permissible to listen to. The soul needs nourishment just like the body, and one should choose what purifies it and avoid what pollutes it. One must repent from listening to forbidden songs and all other sins. Listen to the Quran and avoid singing, which has been described as the "Quran of Satan." A Muslim must detest worshippers of Satan and the people of immorality to the extent of their disobedience; for the perfection of faith is achieved through love for Allah and detestation for His sake.
