Is a person obligated to resign if he receives a salary from an office job where he performs no tasks and his absence does not affect the interests of the people?

It is permissible to trim the beard if it exceeds a fistful, based on the hadith of Ibn Umar, who commanded trimming what exceeded a fistful. Another narration from Ibn Umar, Uthman ibn Affan, Abu Hurairah, and Ibn Abbas states that they used to trim what exceeded a fistful. This is the view of the majority of scholars.
