What is the ruling on donating clothes of alluring colors or giving them to a woman who displays her adornment (mutabarrijah)? What is the ruling on gifting high-heeled shoes or an alluring khimar (head covering), or giving a sister pants that she wears outside the house, or buying a gift for a girl who does not observe Islamic law? What is the meaning of "not assisting in sin," and is it permissible to dispose of these clothes if it is not permissible to donate them?

It is not permissible to give charity or a gift of clothes to a woman if you know that she will use them for ostentatious display (tabarruj), because that constitutes aiding in sin. A woman can adorn herself with these clothes for her husband, or give them to someone who will wear them in her home. It is permissible to gift high heels if the conditions for wearing them lawfully are met. If a khimar (head covering) is alluring, it is not permissible to wear it because it would not be a modest adornment. It is not permissible to give to someone who wears worse than what is given what you know she will disobey God with; rather, it is obligatory to denounce her. It is not permissible to give a sister trousers for her to go out in unless there is something above them that covers her. The meaning of not aiding in sin is clear, and it includes not helping a woman commit sin with clothes or otherwise. It is not recommended to throw away clothes; rather, one should wear them at home or give them to someone who will adorn herself with them for her husband.
