Is it permissible to sell the cigarettes of a deceased smoker and donate their price, or must they be destroyed?

Cigarettes are forbidden, and their sale is not permissible. Their fate is destruction, and there is no compensation for their destruction because when Allah forbids something, He also forbids its price. What is forbidden to benefit from does not necessitate compensation. Therefore, they must be destroyed so that they do not fall into the hands of those who smoke them.
