A Muslim is obligated to submit to the rulings of Allah, even if their wisdom is unknown. However, there is no harm in seeking the wisdom behind the legality of rulings to increase faith. Ibn Taymiyyah sought the wisdom behind the nullification of ablution (wudu') by eating camel meat, as he believed it causes a "satanic force" similar to anger, and that ablution removes its effect, thereby preventing the hard-heartedness and malice that afflicts those addicted to eating it.
