A Muslim must submit to God's rulings, even if they do not grasp the wisdom behind them. Allah the Almighty says: (And your Lord creates what He wills and chooses; they have no choice) and (It is not for a believing man or a believing woman, when Allah and His Messenger have decided a matter, that they should [thereafter] have any choice about their affair).

There is no harm in seeking wisdom to increase one's faith. Indeed, Sheikh Al-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah sought the wisdom behind performing ablution after eating camel meat. He believed that camel meat contains "satanic power" because it is "jinn created from jinn," and he likened it to anger, which is from Satan and is extinguished by water (ablution). Therefore, performing ablution after eating its meat removes this satanic power and repels the malice and hard-heartedness that affect those who habitually eat it without performing ablution.
