What are the reasons for delayed and hindered sustenance? Is the impediment evil? What is the solution for a sister's lack of success in marriage? And is the non-permissibility of what the suitor stipulates or demands in unacceptable conditions considered a legitimate impediment?

Delay in marriage is by divine decree and destiny from Allah Almighty, for a wisdom and a mercy. Allah has inscribed the destinies fifty thousand years before creating the heavens and the earth, and every person’s provision and lifespan are written. No soul shall die until it has fully received its provision and completed its lifespan.

Delay in provision may be due to sins, so it is recommended to increase good deeds, repentance, seeking forgiveness, and supplication, and to stay away from disobedience. There is no harm for a woman to offer herself for marriage to someone whose religion and character she approves of, through her mahrams, or for her father or brother to offer her. Poverty should not prevent marriage, as Allah has guaranteed to enrich those who marry seeking chastity.
