What is the ruling on not speaking to one's maternal aunt for six months due to anger over her behavior towards her daughter, and how can the aunt and daughter be guided and their situation rectified, and is it permissible to marry the daughter after that?

A woman's going out with makeup and trousers is part of forbidden tabarruj (display of adornment). It is not permissible to abandon the maternal aunt, for she is a relative with whom ties must be maintained. Rather, one should continue to advise her. If it is highly probable that the girl is obedient to Allah's command, then there is no harm in marrying her, provided the mother agrees. If the mother objects, then her obedience takes precedence. It is recommended to perform Istikhara (prayer for guidance) in all matters.
