ما حكم حلق شعر الأنثى عند الولادة؟

It is Sunnah to shave the hair of a male newborn and to give in charity gold or silver equal to its weight on the seventh day. Scholars differed regarding shaving the hair of a female newborn. The Shafi'is and Malikis hold that it is Sunnah, by analogy with the male, while the Hanbalis consider it disliked (makrooh). The most preponderant view is that the Sunnah applies to both male and female.
