How is the estate of a deceased father divided among six males, two females, and the father's wife, knowing that two of the male sons have passed away and left behind wives and children?

The rightful heirs to the deceased's estate are his wife and children. The wife receives one-eighth due to the presence of lineal descendants, as Allah Almighty says: "But if you have children, then for them is one eighth of what you leave." The remainder goes to the children, with the male receiving the share of two females, as Allah Almighty says: "Allah instructs you concerning your children: for the male, what is equal to the share of two females."

As for the two brothers who passed away before the father, their children and wives inherit nothing, because one of the conditions for inheritance is that the heir be alive after the death of the deceased. Sheikh Abdullah bin Jibreen affirmed that grandchildren do not inherit from their grandfather if they have a living paternal uncle.

However, it is commendable for you and your siblings to give something from the inheritance to the children of your deceased brothers to gladden their hearts, in accordance with the words of Allah Almighty: "And when [other] relatives and orphans and the needy are present at the time of division, then provide for them [something] out of it and speak to them words of kindness."
