What is your guidance and advice for a young man who has concluded his marriage contract with a committed woman and is suffering from unemployment, and has fears of a prolonged period of unemployment after marriage, especially since the wedding date is very close and he cannot postpone it?

We ask Allah to reward the questioner for his eagerness to earn a lawful living and to keep himself chaste. We hope that Allah will enrich him from His bounty and ease his path to marriage. For whoever fears Allah, He will make a way out for him and provide for him from where he does not expect. Poverty is not a legal impediment to marriage; rather, it may be a cause of wealth. He may proceed with the marriage provided he informs the woman of his financial situation, and she has the right to agree to complete the marriage or to request its dissolution. As long as he has accommodation, he should strive to find work to fulfill the obligation of maintenance.
