Is the hair of a deceased man divided into three braids, as is the case in the ritual washing of a deceased woman?

The deceased woman is braided into three braids, which are then placed behind her, based on the hadith of Umm Atiyyah regarding the washing of the Prophet's daughter (peace and blessings be upon him). As for the deceased man, it is not sunnah to comb or braid his hair, due to the lack of evidence for it, and because the jurists stated that it is disliked to comb the hair of the deceased as it may cause it to break. This is in contrast to the Shafi'is, who permitted it if the hair was matted.
