Does a Muslim inherit from his unmarried paternal uncle when there are female siblings?

The nephew inherits from his paternal uncle if there is no closer agnate (ʻaṣabah) than him. So, if the paternal uncle dies and leaves a nephew and sisters, the sisters take two-thirds as their prescribed share (farḍ), based on the Almighty's saying: "And if there are two, then for them are two-thirds of what he left." What exceeds two (sisters) falls under the ruling of two. And what remains after the sisters' prescribed share is taken by the nephew by way of 'aṣabah (residuary heir), according to the Prophet's (peace and blessings be upon him) saying: "Give the prescribed shares to those entitled to them, and whatever remains is for the closest male agnate."
