What is the ruling on rudeness and insolence towards others?

A Muslim must choose righteous friends because a person is on the religion of their close friend. Whoever associates with an ill-mannered person will learn obscenity from them. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, forbade befriending non-believers. Similarly, it is not permissible for a Muslim man or woman to unleash their tongue with vulgar and obscene speech upon anyone, especially friends or relatives, because Allah Almighty dislikes open utterance of evil speech. It is one of the causes for entering Hellfire, one of the characteristics of hypocrites, and one of the causes of wickedness. Obscenity returns to its speaker, and it is among the major sins. It is advised to offer sincere advice to the friend with wisdom and good admonition, bearing her harm, and with a sincere desire for her guidance.
