What is the ruling on working as an IT engineer in a usurious bank, and is it permissible if the work is not directly related to usury?

Working in usurious banks is forbidden if it involves direct engagement in usurious transactions or assisting them, even if the assistance is indirect, such as writing a paper related to usury or repairing devices and programs used in its transactions. This is based on the Almighty's saying: "And cooperate in righteousness and piety, but do not cooperate in sin and aggression," and the Prophet's (peace be upon him) saying: "Allah has cursed the one who consumes usury, the one who feeds it, its scribe, and its two witnesses," and he said: "They are all equal."
