Is it permissible to marry a girl nine years my junior, given educational, professional, and spatial differences, and can a girl balance marriage, childbearing, and studies, and is it permissible to perform Istikharah concerning this matter?

Islam encourages and promotes marriage. We advise you to take the initiative to marry the girl you desire and propose to her family. Differences in age, the desire to study, or a lack of academic equivalence do not legally prevent marriage. If you agree to the condition of her completing her education, you must fulfill it, as long as it does not violate Islamic law. Reconciling marriage and education differs from person to person, and it is not permissible for a woman to continue her education if it leads to neglecting her husband's rights and raising her children. Istikhara (seeking guidance from Allah) is prescribed in this matter. If the marriage is delayed for too long, it is better to consider other options, especially if you fear falling into immorality. A Muslim must protect himself from haram (unlawful acts) when he loves a girl; if marriage to her is facilitated, then good; otherwise, he must turn his heart away from her.
