Is refusing to attend the 'aqiqah of the husband's nephew, due to the long distance, having two children, and fear of travel and the epidemic, considered an act of disobedience to the husband's father and mother if it causes their displeasure, especially since the event could be postponed? And is the wife's objection to her husband traveling alone to attend the event haram for her?

Obedience to parents is obligatory in matters that do not involve disobedience to Allah, and it brings the pleasure of the Lord. The wife should strengthen her relationship with her husband's family and fulfill the request of her husband's father if possible; if she does not, there is no sin upon her. The son's obedience to his parents is in matters that benefit them and do not harm him. If he fears harm, he has the right not to go. However, if he goes to honor his father, while taking precautions, then his wife is not allowed to object, and he must provide them with what they need.
