Is delivering abortion pills to another person considered causing the abortion that occurred the following day, and does sin result from that?

Abortion is forbidden except in specific cases before the insufflation of the soul, with the knowledge of the woman's guardian or husband, and by a trustworthy doctor.

It is not permissible to give abortion pills to those who would use them, unless the abortion is permissible for them; so as not to be an aid to what is forbidden, in accordance with the verse: ﴿And cooperate in righteousness and piety, but do not cooperate in sin and aggression.﴾

If it is highly probable that the person requesting the pills will use them in a permissible way, then there is no harm.

A woman who aborts a fetus into which the soul has been insufflated (after four months) is liable for diyah (blood money) and kaffarah (definition) (expiation). The diyah is a "ghurrah" (a male or female slave, or the value of five camels), and the kaffarah is fasting for two consecutive months.

The diyah and kaffarah are binding upon the woman who directly performed the act, not upon the one who provided the pills; because liability falls on the direct perpetrator when there is both an instigator and a direct perpetrator.
