Falsifying documents to obtain a job is Islamically forbidden, based on the Almighty’s saying: “So shun the word of falsehood,” and the Prophet’s (peace be upon him) saying: “Beware, and the word of falsehood and false witness.” Falsification includes deception in documents and imitating handwriting with the intent to deceive. If this document was overlooked and you were accepted for the job based on your good experience, then your salary is permissible because it is in exchange for the work you perform.
