Some financial increases in salaries, such as an increase for the married person or one who has children, are the exclusive property of the salary recipient (the husband). The wife or children have no right to it, because it is given to the husband as an aid to him with the burdens of marriage and family, and it is not a gift to individuals. The wife has the right to maintenance and housing according to what is customary.
