Is the noble Hadith: "A child is a cause of sadness, cowardice, ignorance, and miserliness," which was transmitted by Al-Tabarani, authentic? And what do its words mean?

The Hadith was narrated by Ahmad, Ibn Majah, and others with the wording: "Indeed, a child is a cause of avarice and cowardice." Additional phrases appeared in other narrations, such as "a cause of sorrow" and "a cause of ignorance."

Al-Hakim authenticated the Hadith, and Al-Dhahabi agreed with him.

Imam Al-Iraqi explained the meanings of the Hadith: - "A cause of cowardice": The child is a reason for the father's cowardice in engaging in battles, out of fear of dying and leaving the child behind. - "A cause of avarice": The child is a reason for stinginess with money. - "A cause of ignorance": The child calls for abandoning the pursuit of knowledge and instead focusing on accumulating wealth for him. - "A cause of sorrow": The child is a reason for continuous sorrow for his parents due to his illness and his demands that they cannot fulfill.
