How can one reconcile the Hadiths regarding the last person to enter Paradise and the last person to emerge from the Fire, and what has been narrated about their status in Paradise? Are they one and the same person, or are they different?

The hadiths "the lowest in rank among the people of Paradise" and "the last to exit Hellfire" are authentic and agreed upon, and there is no contradiction between them.

Abdullah ibn Mas'ud's hadith describes the man as the last to exit Hellfire and the last to enter Paradise, while Al-Mughirah's hadith describes him as only the last to enter Paradise. There is no contradiction in this, as Ibn Mas'ud's hadith provides a detailed account of the man's situation.

As for the description of the reward, in Ibn Mas'ud's hadith it states, "Verily, you shall have the like of the world and ten times its like," and in Al-Mughirah's hadith, "This is for you and ten times its like." Al-Nawawi reconciled between them by stating that "multiples" refers to "likenesses," and that the narrations explain each other.

Al-Wazir Ibn Hubayrah confirms that both hadiths describe the same person, and that the last to enter Paradise is the last to exit Hellfire. He is given the like of the kingdom of the kings of the world and ten times its like, and he is the one who exits Hellfire after suffering punishment.

As for the people of Al-A'raf, they will be delayed in entering Paradise, but they are not the lowest in rank among the people of Paradise.
