Is hating a hypocritical father who deals in usury, devours the money of orphans, and harasses women, including محارم (unmarriageable kin), and praying against him, considered an act of disobedience (عقوقًا)?

First: If your father commits the aforementioned transgressions, he is in grave danger and manifest sin.

Second: Prayer guides its practitioner to turn to Allah and prevents him from destructive acts, as Allah the Almighty says: "Indeed, prayer prohibits immorality and wrongdoing."

Third: Your dislike for your father due to his evil actions is not blameworthy; rather, it is a sign of faith. However, supplicating against him is forbidden and an act of disobedience (to parents). Your duty is to repent to Allah and treat him with kindness.

Fourth: Supplicate for your father instead of supplicating against him, and ask righteous people to advise him. For Allah to guide a man through you is better for you than red camels (a metaphor for highly prized possessions).

Fifth: Whoever molests his female maharim (unmarriageable kin) and does not repent, the woman must treat him like a stranger. She should not allow him to be alone with her or leave her clothes with him.
