Is it permissible to watch the satirical program "Al-Qalabis" which imitates political and religious figures with the intention of criticizing them, knowing that it may degrade them? And does the ruling on backbiting apply to it? And does laughing at imitated religious figures in humorous situations fall under the category of mocking believers or disbelieving ridicule?

Mimicking people and imitating their movements or voices in a way that implies their disparagement is a reprehensible and blameworthy act. It constitutes harm to a Muslim if they are present, and forbidden backbiting (gheebah) if they are absent. The matter worsens if it is done with the intention of making people laugh, as this falls under mockery and ridicule, which are forbidden by Islamic law. Allah Almighty says: (O you who have believed, let not a people ridicule [another] people; perhaps they may be better than them; nor let women ridicule [other] women; perhaps they may be better than them. And do not insult one another and do not call each other by [offensive] nicknames. Wretched is the name [of] wickedness after faith. And whoever does not repent - then it is those who are the wrongdoers). Such programs that contain violations of Islamic law are not permissible to watch or view, as doing so signifies approval of them and aids in sin.
