Is imitating scholars and شيخs considered mockery and ridicule, and what is the ruling of the Shari'ah on that?

The committed caller to Islam (Da'ee) must elevate himself above trivial matters and imitating others to make people laugh, especially if it involves ridiculing scholars and callers to Islam (Du'aat) or their admonitions that include verses and hadiths. This can even reach the level of major disbelief (kufr akbar), and at the very least, it is forbidden backbiting (gheebah muharramah). Imitation can also lead to lying to make companions laugh. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Woe to him who speaks to a people and then lies to make them laugh. Woe to him, woe to him." Therefore, one must avoid such imitation and use their talents in what pleases Allah.
