What is the ruling on one who imitates a non-Arab in his incorrect pronunciation of some verses of the Qur’an for the purpose of mockery, and is this considered an act of mockery of Allah’s verses that expels one from the fold of Islam, knowing that the intention is to mock the non-Arab and not the Qur’an?

This act is forbidden, due to the prohibition of mocking Muslims, as Allah Almighty says: "O YOU WHO BELIEVE! LET NOT A PEOPLE MOCK ANOTHER PEOPLE; PERHAPS THEY MAY BE BETTER THAN THEM," and as Allah Almighty says: "AND THOSE WHO HARM BELIEVING MEN AND BELIEVING WOMEN FOR THAT WHICH THEY HAVE NOT EARNED, THEY HAVE CERTAINLY BORNE A SLANDER AND A MANIFEST SIN." The perpetrator of this act must be strongly admonished, though it does not appear to be mockery of Allah's verses, because the intention is to mock the person, not the Qur'an.
