Is prayer obligatory for an 18-year-old boy who is disabled and a paraplegic, having lost sensation and movement in the lower part of his body, does not control his urination, and always wears a diaper?

Prayer is not waived for a legally responsible person as long as their mind is sound. If they are unable to perform it standing, they pray sitting. If unable to do that, then lying on their side or on their back, gesturing. If unable to do that, they repeat the remembrances with their tongue. If unable to do that, they pass them through their heart. If the aforementioned young man is of sound mind, prayer is obligatory upon him according to his condition. He should perform ablution (wudu') if he finds someone to help him, otherwise, he should perform tayammum (dry ablution). If he cannot perform tayammum, he prays according to his condition. If he does not feel the discharge of urine or feces, he should perform ablution for each prayer after its time has begun and pray with that ablution the obligatory prayer and as many supererogatory prayers as he wishes. If he is unable to perform ablution, even with assistance, he should perform tayammum.
