What is the ruling on obeying an employer in denying the rights of others, and what is the role of the accountant in this, and is there any accountability upon him?

An accountant is religiously obligated to fulfill the requirements of their profession and employment contract. They must exert effort in their work so as not to be considered a betrayer, based on the Almighty’s saying: "O you who have believed, do not betray Allah and the Messenger or betray your trusts while you know." And the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Any servant whom Allah has entrusted with a flock, and he dies on the day he dies, while he was deceiving his flock, Allah will forbid Paradise for him."

Obedience to the employer is only in what is required of you regarding lawful work. It is not permissible to bear false witness to deny the right of another, as it is one of the greatest sins. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Shall I not inform you about the greatest of major sins?" We said, "Yes, O Messenger of Allah." He said, "Associating partners with Allah and being undutiful to parents…" He was reclining, then he sat up and said, "And indeed, false speech and false witness!" He kept repeating it until we thought he would not stop.

Therefore, transactions with business owners must be documented to prevent their denial, and it is not permissible to deny the right of another.
