How can we reconcile the verses in Surat Al-Jinn (72:26-28), which state that Allah does not disclose the Unseen to anyone except to whom He chooses from among His Messengers, with the verses in Surat Hud (11:71-72) and Maryam (19:16-19), which indicate that He reveals it to His Awliyaa’ (saints/close friends)?

There are two types of the unseen: absolute unseen, which only Allah knows, and relative unseen, which humans can know through revelation, experience, or science. The verse: (Knower of the unseen, and He does not disclose His [knowledge of the] unseen to anyone Except whom He has approved of a messenger) means that Allah does not disclose His unseen except to those messengers whom He has approved, and this disclosure is related to the message and what supports it. What some righteous individuals experience of knowing the unseen is a transient miracle (karamah) through inspiration and the like, and it is not like the disclosures to messengers. The verses do not suggest absolute knowledge of the unseen; rather, they speak of general revelation that occurs through inspiration and visions for non-prophets, which differs from the specific revelation granted to messengers.
