After 12 years of marriage, and due to the husband's selfish actions, his rejection of his wife's hijab and his taunting her about it, and his hitting her, is it better to continue the marriage or separate, especially with the presence of children?

A husband must treat his wife with kindness, and he is not permitted to beat her, or prevent her from wearing her hijab, or taunt her about it. The hijab is obligatory for a Muslim woman, and a believer is not permitted to deny its obligation. The wife is advised to be patient with her husband, to counsel him gently, to pray for him, to treat him well, and to fulfill his rights.
