How can one ensure that the worldly aspect and taking necessary measures have been given their due attention, and that there has been no shortcoming in that regard?
If a servant expends their utmost effort in adopting legitimate means, and it becomes highly probable to them that these means will achieve the desired outcome, then this is sufficient. What is required is that the servant does all that is within their capacity in this regard, including consulting specialists in every field, such as seeking advice from competent and wise experts. Indeed, the Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, was the most consultative among people with his companions.
It must be emphasized that adopting means does not contradict reliance on Allah (tawakkul), because Allah the Almighty has made matters contingent upon means, as stated in the Quran and Sunnah through the actions of the Prophet, peace be upon him. A person's turning away from means is considered a rejection of wisdom.
